Supervision

As a supervisor I work to support counsellors to learn, grow and develop and become more competent in their work.

I supervise qualified, student counsellors/therapist and groups. For me supervision is invaluable. It is a relationship that provides us with a safe place to learn, develop and grow in the work with our clients. It is a place to check things out, hypothesis, explore what the client is bringing. To gain insight and resource us with models and tools that may support them with their difficulty. It provides us with an environment that is nurturing, non-judgmental, supportive yet also challenging, stimulating, and thought provoking. It is place that makes sure we are following the ethical and professional standards and awareness of safeguarding in protecting the client’s health, wellbeing and human rights. Supervision allows us to have someone else observe our work and notice our vulnerabilities and predispositions which may be blocking or inhibiting the counselling process. I believe that it can be instrumental in our journey as counsellors/therapist and no matter how experienced we may be in our therapeutic work supervision is able to give time to reflect on our work in a distinct and unique process.

I charge £50.00 per hour of supervision
